World’s Fair – “NGM”

WorldsFair_NGM

“NGM,” an ominous and lyrically furious track, is the latest offering from Queens rap collective World’s Fair, who we last heard from with “‘96 Knicks.” The title of the Bulletproof Dolphin-produced track stand for “never gonna make it” and WF members Prince SAMO, Remy Banks, and Nasty Nigel wax about how their group puts out consistent and innovative music, but they can’t seem to scratch the surface of the mainstream. While I’m inclined to agree that far too few people are paying attention, considering their making some of the best rap in New York City currently has to offer, I feel their luck is about to change. Later this month, the guys will open for heavy-hitters Schoolboy Q, Meek Mill, and Odd Future at Williamsburg Park (7/20) for Peterpalooza, an outdoor show helmed by divise Hot 97 DJ Peter Rosenberg.
