In a different, weirder world, Schoolboy Q’s “Collard Greens” would be summer 2013’s “Pop That” and every backyard gathering would, at some point, feature your friends rapping in Spanish along with Kendrick Lamar’s guest verse. The video is further proof that this is a party-primed cut, featuring Q and Kendrick hanging out with people spraying silly-string and donning luchador and Obama masks punctuated with multi-colored, kaleidoscopic shots of the two rappers.
