Matmos’ Drew Daniel’s most recent experiment has been to recreate black metal classics as club music. Under his moniker the Soft Pink Truth he’s already given us the aggressive techno remake of Venom’s “Black Metal.” Now he’s shared his version of Brazilian metal band Sarcófago’s “Ready To Fuck,” reimagined as a smooth house track with vocals from Jenn Wasner of Wye Oak. It is a truly surreal experience to hear Wasner coo the line, “My penetrator hammer/ He will make your dreams/ Turn to reality.” You can listen to it below along with the nearly unrecognizable original.
