Watch Nicki Minaj Debut "Bed Of Lies," Rap About Scotland At MTV EMAs

Nicki Minaj hosted the MTV Europe Music Awards last night and debuted a new track from The Pinkprint called “Bed Of Lies.” The song features and was co-written by Skylar Grey, who is probably best known for having a hand in the Eminem/Rihanna collab “Love The Way You Lie” and singing on Fort Minor’s “Where’d You Go.” The track is in line with Nicki’s pop sensibilities, more “Starships” than recent tracks “Anaconda” and “Only.” She performed the track as part of a medley featuring “Super Bass” and “Anaconda,” which you can watch below — the new track starts at 1:35.

The awards show itself was also surprisingly fun! Minaj was game for pretty much anything as host. It was the first time the EMAs were being held in Scotland, so she rapped about the country and incorporated the Proclaimers’ “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles).” She paid homage to the country’s long golf history by … putting into a giant butt, and told a dinosaur who tried to photobomb a selfie to fuck off.

As far as performances go, U2 filled in for a sick Calvin Harris and Slash paid tribute to Ozzy Osbourne, who picked up a Global Icon Award. Charli XCX, Kiesza, and Ariana Grande performed all of their latest hit songs. The two biggest award winners of the night — One Direction and Katy Perry — weren’t there to accept their honors.
