Au.Ra – “Morning,” “Sun,” “Pyramid,” & “Spare The Thought”

Au.Ra is Tim Jenkins and Tom Crandles, two Sydney musicians who specialize in otherworldly guitar pop. The duo’s latest album Jane’s Lament will see release on Felte next year, and today they’re sharing a number of tracks from the project. “Morning,” “Sun,” “Pyramid,” and “Spare The Thought” each showcase Au.Ra’s expertise in merging psychedelic rock tropes with shimmering new wave tones. The songs each set their spaced-out melodies and textures against body-moving rhythms, so the end product comes off like Primal Scream at their most hallucinatory or My Bloody Valentine at their grooviest. It’s impressive stuff, so check out all four songs below.

Jane’s Lament is out 3/3 on Felte. Pre-order it here.
