The chirpy young Mississippi rap duo Rae Sremmurd, the closest thing our corroded age has to a Kriss Kross, have managed to make two gigantic hits without any real outside help. Once you pull that off, people start to notice. And a couple of weeks after Rae Sremmurd attempted to get tough for the first time with their “Illest Walking” single, they’ve shared another first: Their first real superstar collaboration. “Throw Sum Mo,” the latest single from their forthcoming Sremm Life debut, has a hook from Nicki Minaj, and it’s also got a fantastically slurry Young Thug verse. As for the Rae Sremmurd kids, they sound like they belong alongside these more famous voices. Listen to the track below.
