It’s hard to believe these days, but Diplo and M.I.A., who now seem to sit on opposite ends of the pop-cultural spectrum, were a couple for a long time. Diplo’s surprisingly meditative solo debut LP Florida turns 10 this year, and a new reissue comes with F1ORIDA, a 20-minute documentary about Diplo’s early career that his friend Brian Torres Korlofsky directed. M.I.A. is no fan of the doc, but she’s pointed out on Twitter that she’s in it, amidst all the butts. (There are a lot of butts in the doc.) “I’m in there with a brain saving him,” she writes. For the minute-or-so she’s onscreen, though, she’s mostly just dancing adorably. Below, watch the video and read what M.I.A. has to say about it.
The only fresh exciting bit in this trip hop "doc" is @ 14.14 Between the butts I'm in there with a brain saving him http://t.co/WIwXv224JI

The world was a better place when these two were figuring out a way to make it work. There’s an argument to be made that Piracy Funds Terrorism, Vol. 1 is the best thing either of them ever did.
