Florida-based indie-pop impressionists Hundred Waters are set to drop a remixed version of last year’s The Moon Rang Like A Bell next month. The remix album will feature new versions of the album’s original 12 tracks, re-conceptualized by an array of musicians and producers including Plaid, Kodak to Graph, and Illangelo, as well as reworks from individual Hundred Waters’ members. (One song here — the “Down the Rafters” remix by Huxley — was previously released; it appeared on the band’s Down The Rafters Remix EP last year). Today, the band release Shigeto’s dreamy remix to “Cavity.” The track opens with a tinny xylophone loop and spaced synth bass hits before Nicole Miglis’ ethereal vocals float over them and are later joined by a syncopated drum loop and atmospheric clicks. Listen below.
The Moon Rang Like A Bell (Remixed) is out 2/17 on OWSLA.
