Sometime last year, Atlanta rap world-eater Young Thug and producer Metro Boomin teamed up to from a duo called Metro Thuggin. There was talk of a mixtape, and that sadly hasn’t come to pass yet, though the tracks they’ve made — “The Blanguage,” “Cash Talk” — have been pretty incredible. And now that both Thug and Metro Boomin are heading out on tour with Travi$ Scott, maybe we’ll finally get to hear what happens when these two have some time to kill in the bus. In any case, last night, they came out with two new songs. “Speed Racer” is a madly ping-ponging truck-rattler, and “Warrior” is an intense six-minute zone-out, a real tour de force. Both of them make me want to hear more. Check out both tracks below.
