The Harlem rap duo Cannibal Ox are back together and getting ready to release Blade Of The Ronin, their first album since the clattering 2001 nerd-rap masterpiece The Cold Vein. The biggest name to kick in a guest-verse on the album is MF Doom, Can Ox’s free-associating backpacker peer from back in the day. (I guess he’s re-added the MF to his name?) The group has now shared the Doom collab “Iron Rose,” a lurching number that mostly seems to be about how Vast Aire is really into the word “iron.” Doom’s verse is pretty great. Listen below.
