Aero Flynn – “Crisp”

Aero Flynn – “Crisp”

When Josh Scott makes music as Aero Flynn, he mixes expertly-played folk guitar work with experimental ambient droning and vocal effects, a synthesis that would be overwhelming if he didn’t have such a deft touch. Scott is part of the Bon Iver family tree and Justin Vernon helped produce Aero Flynn’s self-titled debut album. “Crisp” is the latest single off that record, and it’s one of those tracks that starts off like a tiny, smooth pebble in your hand that gradually expands out into a crushing asteroid that screams through the cosmos and smashes into a quiet Eau Claire night. Listen below, and check out Scott’s full album when it drops because every track goes through a similar, extraordinary metamorphosis.

Aero Flynn is out 3/10 on Ooh La La.
