Last year’s Warpaint full-length was seriously underrated, and I’m glad the California group doesn’t appear to entering another four-year-long drought of new material like they did after 2010’s The Fool. The band has just shared “No Way Out,” which debuted earlier today on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show, and is apparently “the first in a series of new songs being released this year,” according to the track’s Youtube description. It’s a shadowy, slip-sliding song that builds up to a punchy hook that would’ve fit well alongside anything on 2014’s Warpaint. Check it out below.
The video shows a vinyl being spun, so hopefully that means there’s a physical release in the works.
