The feminist Olympia, Washington punk band G.L.O.S.S. have a name that stands for “Girls Living Outside of Society’s Shit.” Their fearsome, intense sound is closer to Discharge or Doom than it is to any of Olympia’s older punk feminists, like Bikini Kill or Sleater-Kinney. It’s a burst of immediate pride and rage, and it’s just a force. G.L.O.S.S. released a demo EP on Bandcamp back in January, but I’m only just hearing it now, and it absolutely rips. Below, listen to the statement-of-intent opening track “G.L.O.S.S. (We’re From The Future).”
You can pay what you want to download the G.L.O.S.S. demo at Bandcamp.
