Son Lux have announced the follow up to 2013’s Lanterns and shared the first single, the aching, dramatic “Change Is Everything.” Though Son Lux is masterminded by Ryan Lott, they are now a trio: drummer Ian Chang and guitarist Rafiq Bhatia are part of the group’s current iteration. Their new album Bones will be out 6/23. “Change Is Everything” plays with powerful, choppy chirps and majestic, sweeping beats. “This moment change is everything” Lott croons with wide-eyed vibrancy before choir harmonies erupt behind him, and the production flicks in and out of focus like a radio dial searching for a signal.
