Pete Townshend And Eddie Vedder To Play Who Songs At Chicago Cancer Benefit

Eddie Vedder will join Pete Townshend onstage at Chicago’s Rosemont Theatre on 5/14 at a benefit show for Teen Cancer America. The concert is billed as “An Evening Celebrating The Who,” and the duo will be joined by an all-star cast of backing musicians who tour with the Who, including Simon Townshend, Zak Starkey (Oasis), Pino Palladino (Paul Simon, D’Angelo), John Corey, Loren Gold, and Frank Simes. The Who have been patrons of the UK’s Teenage Cancer Trust for awhile now, and in 2012 Townshend and Roger Daltry founded Teen Cancer America to provide a similar charitable organization across the pond. Tickets will go on sale next week, and prices for reserved seats range from $100 to $1,000. This benefit show aligns with the Who’s 50th anniversary tour, which begins tomorrow. Tickets to “An Evening Celebrating The Who” go on sale 4/21 at 10AM via the Rosemont Box Office or Ticketmaster.
