Prolific singer-songwriter Richard Thompson has been going for almost fifty years, working with a bunch of different producers as he explores the may different aspects of his sound. For his latest record, Still, he teamed up with Jeff Tweedy and recorded it at the Wilco studio in Chicago. “Beatnik Walking” is one of the results of that partnership, and it’s a layered and intricately arranged folky track with Thompson’s timbre carrying things along with weight.
