FIDLAR – “40oz On Repeat” Video

FIDLAR is back with a badass new song and video to go along with it. “40oz On Repeat” surfaced briefly back in April and was quickly pulled offline, but it’s here gain in all its snotty glory. The video is made up of references to older music videos, all of which are name checked on the jukebox at the start of the film. Here’s what guitarist/lead vocalist Zac Carper had to say about it: “In the late 90s and early 2000s, music videos were such a huge deal. We decided that instead of making one overly slick music video, we would nod to 15 of our favorite music videos that we grew up with. Everyone in the band threw in their ideas.” The track will be included on the band’s upcoming sophomore album, which is called Too and will be released on 9/4. Watch the video and check out the tracklist and album artwork below.

And here’s a list of the music video inspirations in order:

Sugar Ray – “Fly”
Suicidal Tendencies – “Institutionalized”
Missy Elliott – “The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)”
Devo – “Jocko Homo”
Weezer – “Undone — The Sweater Song”
Eminem – “The Real Slim Shady”
The Beastie Boys – “(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party!)”
