Both of Menace Beach’s releases so far — this year’s debut LP, Ratworld, and the upcoming EP Super Transporterreum — have been named after fictional locations, ones that feel both dangerous and enticing in equal measure. In their short time of existence, the UK band has carved out their own little world, and the title track from their new EP acts as an open invitation to come along with them. “If you want to pretend…” Ryan Needham sings before wailing the eponymous locale over a wall of slowed-down guitar.
