Ed Sheeran may be the least intimidating person ever to rock sleeve tattoos, but that will not stop him from playing some sort of medieval death-dealer on the new FX show The Bastard Executioner. Billboard reports that Sheeran will play “Sir Cormac, an ambitious and deadly protégé of a high-ranking church elder.” Sheeran was cast on the show when he Tweeted about his admiration of the FX show Sons Of Anarchy and Kurt Sutter, that show’s creator, Tweeted back. Sutter is also the man behind The Bastard Executioner, which tells the story about a knight who decides to become an executioner after hearing a message from God. Sheeran will star alongside Stephen Moyer, from True Blood, and Katy Sagal, from Sons Of Anarchy. The series is set to launch this fall. This should be pretty weird!
