Earlier this month, we shared “The Curse,” the warm, acoustic album opener from Scotty Leitch’s debut album as Shelf Life, Everyone Make Happy. Leitch is mostly a recording engineer and sideman with recent gigs like drumming for Alex G, but we like him in this new starring role. “Sinking Just Right” rides a sluggish bass line that is guaranteed to make you stop and feel your body slow down, your emotions spreading and multiplying.
