It could be because I’m from Minnesota, but every time an artist’s voice croons like Bob Dylan’s, I’m hooked. Such is the case for the Brisbane quartet Blank Realm, whose track “River Of Longing” we raved about last month. Now, we’re traveling from the river of longing to the “Palace Of Love,” another track from their upcoming fall release Illegals In Heaven. Siblings Daniel and Sarah Spencer (two of three Spencer siblings in the band) belt the chorus — “Locked in the palace of love / Waiting for someone to pick me up” — over a colorful mixture of New Wave guitars and synths.
