The subjects of our two most recent Counting Down features — in which we provided a detailed breakdown and ranking of a musician’s discography — were Richard Thompson and Motörhead, which makes Marc Maron’s latest WTF segment a welcome coincidence. Though Thompson and Lemmy Kilmister exist in very different rock and roll realms, Maron paired them in this double-header episode to highlight some of their similarities. The first half of the episode hones in on Thompson talking about tradition and musicianship, and the second half features Kilmister discussing Ozzy Osbourne, the Beatles, and Motörhead.
