British shoegaze pioneers Ride will reissue their classic album Nowhere in November to celebrate its 25th anniversary. To promote the reissue, Robert Smith has remixed the Ride track “Vapour Trail,” although Pitchfork notes it will not appear on the reissue. Smith and Ride go way back; above you’ll find a picture of the Cure frontman with Ride’s Andy Bell and Mark Gardener in 1991. The remix doesn’t stray too far from the original, merely adding some echo to the vocals and a different fade-out. All in all, it stays true to the version Ride fans are used to, albeit with a minor Smith tweaks. Listen to the remix below.
