MØ or Karen Marie Ørsted is a Danish pop singer who had a lot of internet buzz but encountered a weird slump when it came to the reception of her debut album No Mythologies To Follow, which came out at the beginning of last year. Lately, she’s been collaborating with Major Lazer, and together they produced “Lean On,” a huge summer hit. Armed with new momentum, MØ has now released her latest solo track, “Kamikaze” via Annie Mac’s Hottest Record In The World distinction on BBC. It’s flitting, light and floral pop song that plays out in a sing-song lilt. It doesn’t have the world-stopping power of “Lean On,” but it’s definitely addicting. Listen below.
