Have we already reached the phase when musicians are nostalgic for early Passion Pit? Listening to Elohim’s “Bridge And The Wall,” that certainly seems to be the case. But the anonymous LA pianist-turned-synthpop artist does well with that late-aughts helium dance party sound. “Bridge And The Wall” starts out languid and breathy, but soon it explodes out of Lordecore into a jubilant hook that I don’t expect to shake for the rest of the day.
