A$AP Ferg’s sophomore album Always Strive And Prosper is expected early next year, and last night he shared his first new solo track since last year’s Ferg Forever mixtape. It’s a Hit-Boy production, so it sounds great, its stuttering synth shimmer serving as the backdrop for Ferg’s reflections on his career, the fake friends and opportunists that come with fame, and the tragic death of A$AP Mob co-founder A$AP Yams. (The cover art is also a portrait of Yams painted by Ferg himself.) Ferg shared the song on Twitter with the note, “A few real words to my day 1s to let y’all know what along I been going through.” Listen below; it fades out fairly abruptly at the end, so there may be more of the track to come later.
Always Strive And Prosper will be out next year.
