Meek Mill put out the album Dreams Worth More Than Money back in June, and it was a very good album. Unfortunately, however, the quality of the album ended up getting a little eclipsed by Meek’s exceptionally ill-advised feud with one of rap’s biggest stars. But although Meek is, for whatever reason, still fighting the good fight in this dumb Drake beef, dedicating one song from yesterday’s surprise EP 4/4 to rebutting Drake’s disses from “Back To Back,” he’s also just reminded everyone that Dreams Worth More Than Money was in fact a good album by sharing a new video for album track “The Trilling.” Directed by Will Ngo, the clip basically just follows Meek around as he goes about his business — recording in the studio, performing shows, hanging out with his girlfriend Nicki Minaj, playing basketball, getting a haircut, etc. Watch below via Pitchfork.
Meek is also currently engaged in another beef, this time with 50 Cent, who he took shots at on the EP track “Gave Em Hope” and who has recently been engaged in a high-profile dispute with Meek’s label boss Rick Ross. Today, 50 responded via Instagram, saying, “LMAO Hey shit head, your career is over already. you better focus on getting Nikki [sic] pregnant so you can at least get child support girl.” Then Meek responded with a whole big rant, and 50 came back with a bunch more attack Instagrams, mainly just calling Meek a “shit head” and “retarded.” Ugh.
Dreams Worth More Than Money is out now on Maybach Music Group/Atlantic.
