Legendary Texas post-hardcore screamers At The Drive-In reunited for some tour dates in 2012, so when they popped up on this year’s Rock On The Range and Shaky Knees festival lineups, there was reason to believe it would be another round of live shows without new music — especially considering ATDI’s principle players Omar Rodríguez-López and Cedric Bixler Zavala started a new post-Mars Volta project called Antemasque in 2014. Whatever’s going on with Antemasque, this much is clear: At The Drive-In are all-in for 2016, promising new music and a world tour in a new interview with Fuse. Says Rodríguez-López:

We’re all excited to be seeing each other, to be playing in a room again, and to be making music under a new context. This is where we all came from. We have different families now, we live in different places, but these are our roots, and a true person never forgets their roots. There’s a safety in being around people you trust.

There’s no timetable for a new album, but drummer Tony Hajjar says the band members are “passing material around.” In the meantime, a 27-date transatlantic tour begins 3/23 in Los Angeles. Check out the dates below, and get tickets here.
