Preceding the release of their seventh studio album We Disappear and, aptly, Valentine’s Day, the Thermals’ new single “My Heart Went Cold” is a hard-hitting, upbeat rock and roll number without a semblance of passivity. This song swells through its intro and into a defiant chorus in which lead vocalist Hutch Harris sings over driving, distorted guitar parts. Topped off with quick drums and bass used just prudently enough to tie everything together without throwing off the song’s balance, it suggests the Thermals have another solid album in the works. List below.
We Disappear is out 3/25 on Saddle Creek. Pre-order it here.
