The Shins Announce Live Return

The Shins haven’t played live since 2013, but after teasing a new album back in February, they just announced their first concert in three years. James Mercer’s pop-rock project will play the End Of The Road festival in Dorset, UK this September alongside fellow headliners Joanna Newsom, Animal Collective, and Bat For Lashes. (The stacked lineup also includes Cat Power, Teenage Fanclub, Broken Social Scene, Savages, Thee Oh Sees, Devendra Banhart, Pinegrove, Jenny Hval, the Thurston Moore Band, Kevin Morby, Lucy Dacus, Frankie Cosmos, Eleanor Friedberger, King Gizzard & The Wizard Lizard, and many more.) No word on further tour plans yet, but it seems unlikely this End Of The Road gig will be a one-off. The band’s last release was 2012’s Port Of Morrow.
