Justin Timberlake’s solo career has been defined by his partnership with Timbaland and, to a lesser extent, Pharrell. Those two Virginia hip-hop beatmakers helped Timberlake transcend his teen-pop past and establish himself as an occasionally boundary-pushing grown-up solo pop star. And according to HITS Daily Double, he’s working with those two producers again on a new full-length album that may arrive as early as Q4 of this year.

That will be a full three years past the second volume of The 20/20 Experience; if it feels fast, that’s because Timberlake has never taken less than four years between albums unless you count the six-month gap between 20/20 installments. It will be very intriguing to see what direction he takes this latest LP after 20/20’s retreat into white-tuxedo traditionalism and Timberlake’s recent post-CMAs brush with country radio success.

But before the new album, Timberlake is rolling out a one-off single this Friday. Per Timberlake’s Twitter, it’s called “Can’t Stop The Feeling,” and HITS reports that mathematical pop mastermind Max Martin produced it. The song is part of Timberlake’s previously reported work on the Trolls soundtrack, for which he’s serving as executive music producer. (“I have always envisioned bringing the two worlds of film and music together for one epic event [and] couldn’t be more excited that they will collide in DreamWorks’ Trolls, says Timberlake in an epic press release.) The soundtrack is due out in October on DreamWorks, but to hear “Can’t Stop The Feeling,” just be an alive human being (or troll, presumably) this Friday.

UPDATE: Timberlake has shared the most minuscule possible preview:
