Today Is Officially The Notorious B.I.G. Day In Brooklyn

Today is officially The Notorious B.I.G. Day in Brooklyn on what would have been his 44th birthday. DNAInfo reports that borough president Eric Adams proclaimed May 21, 2016 in honor of the rapper in his hometown neighborhood of Bedford-Stuyvesant. The proclamation for “Christopher ‘The Notorious B.I.G.’ Wallace Day” was presented to his daughter, T’yanna Wallace, and Biggie’s cousin and mentee Lil’ Cease. The honor coincides with the Bad Boy Family Reunion Shows at Barclays Center this weekend, where Jay Z, Nas, Rick Ross, Mary J Blige, Usher, Busta Rhymes, Mase, 112, Faith Evans, Lil’ Kim, French Montana, the Lox, and more paid tribute to the late B.I.G. You can watch some videos from the event below — the second night of the Reunion Shows kicks off in a few hours.
