Watch Rostam Play His First Solo Show In Brooklyn

Former Vampire Weekend co-leader Rostam Batmanglij left the band in January to pursue a solo career, and he’s given us two excellent singles so far, “EOS” and “Gravity Don’t Pull Me.” Tonight, he played his first ever solo show at Brooklyn’s McCarren Park, opening for Brian Wilson at Northside Festival. Accompanied by dancers, a string quartet, Angel Deradoorian, and his Discovery bandmate, Ra Ra Riot’s Wes Miles, he performed a few new songs and some Discovery tracks. Watch below.

String quartet, some gentle sound, beauty + movement from #Rostam feels pretty fine #nside @matsor
