Three years ago, Blu and Nottz linked for the Gods In The Spirit EP. If I may say so, that was a criminally slept-on collection of songs. Blu has been spitting introspective viciousness for quite a while now. It’s crazy that his underground classic with Exile, Below The Heavens, is turning 10 next year. Nottz has been doing his thing on the production tip for almost two decades. When these two link it truly is Titans In The Flesh, with years of venomous bars and punchy production under their belts, so that’s an appropriate title for the new followup EP. The first taste of their new venture is “Atlantis” and it’s just the two veterans doing what they do best. Nottz comes with the bubbly, sample-driven beat with plenty of knock in the boom bap drums. Blu spits some signature heady lines that will take a few listens for you to completely unpack. Listen.
