Ghost Gum – “Edible Complex”

Back in 2014, Ghost Gum put out an enthralling and crazy promising demo collection, but have been mostly quiet since then, save for last year’s split alongside fellow Philly rising stars Mumblr, Clique, and Loose Tooth. Now the four-piece are gearing up to release their debut album — called The Past, The Future, Dwelling There Like Space — later this year, and “Edible Complex” is its fuzzy blast of a lead single. It’s unkempt and energetic, featuring frenetic drumming and a towering vocal duet: “Everyone has begged forgiveness/ Giving in is half the madness/ Heaven holds no place for sinners/ Can we make it if we try?” Listen below.
