Sleater-Kinney co-leader Carrie Brownstein just continues to pile on the hyphenates. She’s already been a celebrated musician, sketch comic, author, and actress. And now she’s a director, too, joining people like David Lynch and Gregg Araki on the list of auteurs who have made short films for the clothing label Kenzo. Brownstein’s forthcoming short film The Realest Real stars former Sonic Youth co-leader Kim Gordon, as well as people like ’90s indie-film mainstay Natasha Lyonne and Girl Meets World star Rowan Blanchard. The Realest Real comes out 9/13.
