The Killers Announce Sam’s Town 10th Anniversary Reissue And Shows At Sam’s Town Hotel

The Killers’ sophomore album Sam’s Town came out 10 years ago this October, and today the band has announced a vinyl reissue and a couple of special anniversary shows to celebrate the occasion.

The vinyl features a remastered version of the album and includes two never-before-released bonus tracks: a demo called “Peace Of Mind” and a “Pet Shop Boys Stars Are Blazing” remix of “Read My Mind.” It’s limited to 5,016 copies and will also include a coffee table book about the album. Pre-orders available here.

The shows (or “2-day extravaganza,” as the press release touts) will take place on 9/30 and 10/1 at the album’s Las Vegas casino namesake, Sam’s Town Hotel And Gambling Hall. In addition to performances by the band on both nights, the event will also include an “expert-led tour of the Killers’ Las Vegas,” which includes “iconic spots in the band’s musical history, including Battle Born Studios and early locations that shaped each member.” Profits from the event will go towards local Las Vegas specializing in homeless outreach and addiction recovery.

Tickets for the event will be available for fan club members on 8/3 at 10AM PST and for the general public on 8/5 at 10AM PST.
