London Club Fabric To Close

The London nightclub Fabric closed last month pending a review of their license following the fatal drug overdoses of two 18-year-old attendees. Fabric’s management met with the Islington Council tonight to decide the fate of the club, and after six hours of deliberation, Mixmag reports, the council decided to revoke their license, forcing the club to shut down permanently. “There is a culture of drugs at Fabric which management cannot control,” said licensing subcommittee chair Flora Williamson in a closing statement. Alan Miller, chair of the Nightlife Industries Association, has announced that the NTIA will launch a Fund For Fabric to appeal the decision.
