Kevin Krauter is a member of chilled-out Indiana indie-rockers Hoops, but his solo work veers in a more somber, acoustic direction than his main band’s gleaming guitar-pop tracks. For instance, My Old Kentucky Blog premiered a lovely ballad called “Bachelor” that reminds me of A Ghost Is Born-era Wilco (“Muzzle Of Bees,” especially) or a more melodious Kurt Vile, but delivered with Grizzly Bear’s delicate chamber-pop touch.
