Back in June, a reunited LCD Soundsystem announced that they would be curating the lineup for a festival in Riviera Maya on Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula. The fest was called Beach Vibes, and it was slated to go down January 26-28. Hot Chip, Carl Craig, Run The Jewels, DJ Harvey, Holy Ghost!, and LCD Soundsystem were all slated to play, but today it was announced that the fest has been cancelled. Pitchfork published a statement from organizers, who stated that anyone who purchased an all-inclusive package for the event will receive a full refund. Read the statement below.

Beach Vibes, a destination event produced by CID Presents, has been canceled. The event was originally slated for January 27 – 29, 2017 in Riviera Maya, Mexico.

The event was not coming together in the way that it was envisioned, and all parties have agreed that putting on an event that is less than 100% would be a disservice to the fans and bands alike. Therefore, canceling the weekend-long event is in the best interest of all involved.

Fans who purchased all-inclusive packages will be refunded in full, including related airfare expenses, and will receive direct communication from CID Presents in the coming days.
