Kanye West Ends Meadows Set Early After Kim Kardashian Robbed At Gunpoint In Paris

Kanye West and Founders Entertainment have not had good luck together. Kanye ended up not performing at Governors Ball after the fest’s third day was cancelled due to inclement weather, and tonight, he ended his set at The Meadows early due to a family emergency. He stopped the show after being pulled aside in the middle of “Heartless,” telling the audience, “I’m sorry, there’s a family emergency, I have to stop the show.” Watch below.

The Meadows has released this statement:

“Due to a family emergency, Kanye West was forced to end his performance towards the end of his set. We appreciate the great show he put on for fans to close out the inaugural Meadows Festival. Our thoughts are with West and his family.”

UPDATE: According to CNN, the emergency was that West’s wife Kim Kardashian West had been robbed at gunpoint in Paris. “Kim Kardashian West was held up at gunpoint inside her Paris hotel room this evening, by two armed masked men dressed as police officers,” her spokesperson said in a statement. “She is badly shaken but physically unharmed.” Kardashian West was in Paris for fashion week and attended the Givenchy show earlier in the evening.

UPDATE 2: Kardashian West had been renting a private mansion in the eighth district and her assailants stole from her a box containing over $10M in jewelry, according to AP. CNN reports:

The French Interior Ministry said five men threatened the mansion concierge with a weapon, handcuffed him and forced him to open the private apartment. Two of the men were able to gain entry to Kardashian West’s room, according to the Paris prosecutor’s office, and a gun was held to her head. A source familiar with the situation told CNN that Kardashian’s two children, North West and Saint West, “were not present” at the time of the incident. She was locked in a bathroom while the men took two cell phones and jewelry worth millions of dollars, the Interior Ministry said.

Kardashian West left Paris after questioning to join her husband in NYC Monday morning.
