On Sunday night, Green Day performed at the American Music Awards, bashing through their single “Bang Bang” and ending it with an anti-Trump chant — one that surprised the show’s producers — which they’d pulled from an old MDC song. Last night, the band was back on TV, doing musical-guest duties on Kimmel. This time, they got through “Bang Bang” without the Trump stuff, but it was still a fun, galvanizing performance. They can still rip, and they drew a big and enthusiastic crowd to the outdoor festival stage at Kimmel. As an online bonus, they also blasted their way through the title track of their new album Revolution Radio. You can watch both performances below.
Revolution Radio is out now on Reprise.
