The ever soulful Bilal has made some key guest appearances on many of the more conscious albums of the past couple years, but he’s been relatively quiet musically as the focal point since last year’s excellent In Another Life. Today he revisits the album with a set of visuals for the Big K.R.I.T.-assisted, Prince-indebted, 808-soaked “Pleasure Toy.” In the Hans Elder-directed clip, the smooth crooner delivers some charismatic eccentricity mixed with Afrocentric themes and throwback visual effects fitting the retro feel of the sultry song.
