Uniform – “Tabloid”

Uniform – “Tabloid”

NYC noise-rock band Uniform, the duo of Michael Berdan (ex-Drunkdriver, York Factory Complaint) and Ben Greenberg (ex-The Men, Hubble), are back next month with their sophomore LP Wake In Fright. In a press release, Greenberg explains the project’s gnarly headspace:

“We are surrounded by war and the whole world is burning and it doesn’t seem like there are any appropriate reactions or responses left anymore. This music is our response to and our reflection of the overwhelming violence, chaos, hate, and destruction that confronts us and everyone else in the world every day of our lives. When we play, I don’t feel powerless anymore. I hope this record can help others transcend their anger and frustration.

Today we get to hear Wake In Fright’s opening track, “Tabloid,” a punishing and grotesque electronically-infused rock song that hearkens back to the pigfuck era but mostly feels like America right now. So, good job, Uniform. Listen below.

Tracklist:

01 “Tabloid”
02 “Habit”
03 “The Lost”
04 “The Light At The End (Cause)”
05 “The Killing Of America”
06 “Bootlicker”
07 “Night Of Fear”
08 “The Light At The End (Effect)”
