Hamilton Leithauser and Rostam Batmanglij teamed up a couple of months ago on their excellent collaborative album I Had A Dream That You Were Mine. They recently reconvened at Spotify’s studio in NYC to record two songs for the streaming service’s new “Singles” live series, which has already given us Local Natives’ cover of “Ultralight Beam.” In addition to their own “The Morning Stars,” the dynamic duo tackle Bob Dylan’s “Mr. Tambourine Man,” which proves a good fit for Leithauser’s whiskey-stained vocals.
