This morning, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association unveiled the nominees for next year’s Golden Globe awards. And alongside the expected glut of nominations for things like La La Land, Moonlight, and The People Vs. OJ Simpson, a few people from our world scored nominations in the musical categories.

In Best Original Song, Iggy Pop and Danger Mouse are up for the song “Gold,” which they co-wrote for the Matthew McConaughey drama Gold. They’re up against a big one, though: Justin Timberlake is nominated for “Can’t Stop This Feeling,” his hit from the Trolls soundtrack. Also nominated is “City Of Stars,” a Justin Hurwitz song that Emma Stone sings in La La Land. Ryan Tedder and Benny Blanco are up for “Faith,” a Stevie Wonder/Ariana Grande collab that the wrote for the cartoon movie Sing. Rounding out the category is “How Far I’ll Go,” a sweeping ballad that Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote for the Disney musical Moana.

In Best Original Score, the big name is Pharrell, who collaborated with Hans Zimmer and Benjamin Wallfisch on the score for Hidden Figures. It’s Pharrell’s first Golden Globe nomination, though he was previously nominated for a Best Original Song Oscar for “Happy,” from Despicable Me 2. Pharrell’s competition includes the German composer Hauschka, who’s relatively new to film scoring but who teamed up with Dustin J. O’Halloran, half of the group a Winged Victory For The Sullen, to score the Garth Davis film Lion. The Icelandic minimal composer Jóhann Jóhannsson, who won last year for The Theory Of Everything is also up for the award, thanks to his work on Arrival. Their competitors are the more traditional film composers Justin Hurwitz, for La La Land, and Nicholas Britell, for Moonlight.

Meanwhile, Donald Glover, better known to some as Childish Gambino, earned a well-deserved nomination for his TV show Atlanta in the category of Actor, Musical Or Comedy. And actress and budding pop star Hailee Steinfeld has been nominated for Actress, Musical Or Comedy for playing the lead in the movie The Edge Of Seventeen.
