Vorhees is the ambient pop project of Dana Wachs, who has worked as a live sound engineer for artists such as St. Vincent and Deerhunter and once played with Dischord punk act Holy Rollers. Her debut EP Black Horse Pike is out next month, and today we’re sharing its title track. The EP is full of vibrant sounds and shadowy textures alike; those inclinations collide on the ominously bouncy “Black Horse Pike,” a spare slow-build with a rewarding payoff. Hear it below.
