Women – “Group Transport Hall (Alternate Version)”

Women – “Group Transport Hall (Alternate Version)”

We’re five days into Our First 100 Days, the anti-Trump charity campaign that promises a new song for every one of Trump’s first 100 days in office, and we’ve already gotten two songs from artists who are no longer with us. Yesterday, the campaign shared the late Jason Molina’s unreleased song “Royko.” And today, we’re getting a new version of “Group Transport Hall,” a song that originally appeared on the 2008 debut album from the Calgary band Women. Women broke up in 2012, and band member Christopher Reimer died just two weeks later. In its original form, “Group Transport Hall” was a one-minute acoustic song. The version we’re getting now is very different; it’s a muddy four-minute rocker. Check it out below.
