Run The Jewels’ live show is a big thing — tons of energy, vast personalities, drum sounds loud enough to cave in your ribcage. It is not, in other words, the sort of thing that would not necessarily translate into a small room, in an NPR studio, in front of a miniscule audience of public-radio professionals. But Killer Mike and El-P gave it a shot anyway, fitting their boundless charisma into the Tiny Desk Concert format and doing a few songs from their recent crusher RTJ3. Best part: El-P rapping into a banana because it didn’t feel natural to not hold a mic. Watch it below.
