New York synthpoppers Small Black have a way of always making these weirdly beautiful and dramatic videos, and their latest is the latest in a long string. Jeremy S. Collins directed the clip for “Between Leos,” a song from the 2015 album Best Blues, and it follows two Foley artists, the people who make the sound effects for movies and TV shows. That’s a fascinating process, and that by itself would probably be enough. But the video also tells a triple narrative, showing the movie or whatever that they’re working on and the intense personal things that one of the sound engineers is going through. It all ends in an emotional dance finale. Seriously: Good video. Watch it below.
